Ramadan Nights, Lakemba April 2022

On a whim, I ventured out to Ramadan Nights in Lakemba. Ramadan is a holy month in the Islamic calendar, observed as a month of fasting. The fasting takes place from sunrise to sundown. The feast that breaks the fast is called Iftar. Every night during the festival of Ramadan this street in Lakemba comes alive with the smells and sounds of Middle Eastern deliciousness! I really loved learning and observing on this cool autumn night.
